Our core philosophy is to store the minimum amount of data necessary to provide our services. We aim to be a processor of data, not the primary holder of your sensitive customer information.

  • Organization Information: When you sign up for Patofy, we collect information about your business, including your business name, primary contact email, and billing information.
  • User Information: We collect personal information for your staff who will access the Patofy dashboard, such as name and email address, for login and authentication purposes.
  • Configuration Data: We store settings and configurations for your account, such as your WhatsApp templates, referral program rules, service provider details (including names and calendar IDs), and operating hours.
  • Your Customer Data (Minimal): To provide our services, we process a limited set of your customers' data. This is typically limited to:
    • Full Name
    • Phone Number (for WhatsApp/SMS)
    • Email Address (if provided)
  • Interaction Data: We store logs and transcripts of interactions that your customers have with the AI agent, as well as logs related to our Reputation, Reactivation, and Referral modules.

We do **not** intentionally collect or store sensitive personal information such as financial details (beyond billing for our service), health information, or government-issued IDs of your customers.

  • Set up and manage your account.
  • Enable our AI agent to communicate with your customers on your behalf.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

Patofy relies on trusted third-party services to function. We only share the minimum data necessary for these services to operate.

  • Conversational AI Provider (Voiceflow): Conversation data is processed by our AI provider to generate responses.
  • Channel Connector (ConvoCore): To send and receive messages on channels like WhatsApp, we use a channel integration partner.
  • Cloud & Database Providers (Vercel, MongoDB): Our application and database are hosted on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure.
  • Payment Processor (Paystack): Your billing information is securely handled by our payment processor. We do not store your credit card details.

We do not sell your personal data or your customers' data to any third parties.

6. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the information you provide to us, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
